This year, GO’s Teacher Policy Fellows have centered their policy focus on teacher retention. In exploring this topic, we are using The Project on the Next Generation of Teacher’s article, “Who Stays in Teaching and Why?: A Review of the Literature on Teacher Retention.” The “Who Stays” Series will be blog posts by Teacher Policy Fellows which highlight specific quotes from the article, explore their own experience in the classroom, and use research and perspective to expand on that particular topic.
